Oscars 2010: The Best Red Carpet Earrings

It's all flash, flash! and bling! bling on the Red Carpet! It's time for BeadSnob's Annual Oscar Bling roundup!

First on our Oscar red carpet is Rachel McAdams who's back to being blonde.

Rachel McAdams dons earring elegance with these large intricate multi-layer plates studded in multi-colored diamonds by Lorraine Schwartz.

Lorraine Schwartz, Jewelry Designer to the stars doesn't have an online shop, she prefers you call and be one of her private clientele.

Rachel McAdams is a walking canvas in a flowing Elie Saab watercolor gown.

Holy mother of pearl! Opulent teardrop chopards fit for a Queen Latifah

Our curvy highness in a Badgley Mischka single-strap baby plum gown. Note the adornment of gemstones on the lovely strap.

Elizabeth Banks complements her floral gemstone studded earrings with a classy, yet simple diamond studded headband. All from jeweler Fred Leighton.

Her gown is almost the same hue as McAdams and has the same ruffle motif as all the Versace Atelier dresses on the red carpet. Still fierce though!

Demi Moore looking luscious with these hand-strung multi-strand ivory pearl earrings.

Another Versace Atelier ruffles and frills maven, but the most stunning one on the red carpet. She is my Oscar fave even without her gorgeous arm candy Ashton Kutchner.

Demi is radiant in this intricately layered gown that seamlessly blends into her skin tone.

Fabulous under the stage lights. Demi Moore rocks it!

Cameron is gorgeous for her age and she is aging wonderfully. Her earrings are Cartier's trinity circle earrings in white and yellow diamonds crafted on rose gold. Overall, I am not a fan of this look, kinda gives me that rich Texan oiler's wife vibe.

However, her Oscar de la Renta dress embelished in silver and sparkles is to die for.

And best pair of earrings on Oscar night goes to British actress Carey Mulligan.

Artfully inspired ornate diamond briolette earrings by Fred Leighton.

Shia LaBeouf's pixie dream is all gamine gorgeous in Prada. This black ensemble is adorned in silver trinkets such a knives, forks and spoons. Quirky and charming much like Carey herself.

Arts & Crafts Supply Stores in Manila

I was wondering if you know of any other craft supply stores?

The kinds which sell imported stuff like Mod Podge, fusible interfacing (or Heat and Bond), stuff like that...I mainly do paper crafts lie Print Gocco and some handsewing and crocheting.

Thanks,
Miss Char

A few years back there was a crafts store at the basement level of Robinsons Galleria that sold Mod podge and crackle finishes. But I think they have closed since then. But luckily, a blogger left a post about it on Beadsnob, the Craft store called Craft World is now located at SM Megamall (building A, beside Toy Kingdom). Awesome! Time renew my crackle finishes for my decoupages :)

But there's also the art supplies store called Deovir.

Deovir is where all the fine art majors go to for supplies.

Deovir is the only one stop art store in the Philippines! Since 1978, Deovir has provided students and professionals with a diversity of high quality artist, architectural and engineering supplies at the best prices.

Vajazzle your Lady Pie with Swarovski Crystals

Vajazzling is all about adornment. Jewelry made for your special parts.

Vajazzling is the frosting on the bikini wax, it makes your faux-pubescent pie sparkle! And your Brazilian, a little bit more posh.

Vajazzling is the process of putting stick-on gemstones around the vagina after a wax. Another great comeback for Swarovski Crystals!

Ohlala what a sparkly puss!

And the forerunner on the hardcore Vajazzling experience is blogger Bryce Gruber (bravo! bravo!) who had her Vajazzle done at the pioneering Completely Bare spa in NYC.

Bring on the Bling with this Gold Baby Clutch!

This fab gold baby clutch purse shines like gold, but doesn’t cost you the world, it retails for P30 ($.60 cents) at Robinson's Galleria Department Store.

Oooh so shiny and pretty!

Style Goddess Sarah Jessica Parker accents in gold accessories while filming Sex and the City 2. She struts about with a sophisticated Chanel gold purse.

But this budget-price wallet is a golden gift and such a cute shopping find!

Quite a sexy accesory on its own!

Alexander McQueen's Accessories: The Last Season

Alexander McQueen's skulls and his skull scarves were all the rage a few seasons back, slung over bags and warming fashionistas necks the world over.

Now that McQueen is gone, the skull scarf is now a must keep treasure.

I do wonder about the 10 inch-tall stilettos being possible heirlooms though they are not exactly the boots of our generation. Though I do trust Lady Gaga to bring out her McQueens on her comeback concert when she's 60.

Long Live McQueen!

The Fashion world mourns the passing of its daring luminary - Alexander McQueen

Born in London's East End, the son of a cabbie and lovingly raised by a mother whose death he could not bear. Lee Alexander McQueen took his life just days after his Mother's passing.

"We are devastated to learn of the death of Alexander McQueen, one of the greatest talents of his generation. He brought a uniquely British sense of daring and aesthetic fearlessness to the global stage of fashion. In such a short career, Alexander McQueen's influence was astonishing - from street style, to music culture and the world's museums. His passing marks an insurmountable loss."
- Anna Wintour

“He was a young genius who crossed between Couture and Punk Rock with reverence. He will be missed by all.” —Tommy Hilfiger, Designer

His work was always known to be extraordinary and avant-garde.

Alexander McQueen personally worked on Bjork's album cover Homogenic and even worked as director in one of her music videos.

The US First lady Michelle Obama dons Alexander McQueen's chalk striped suits.

The Pumps that got the world abuzz: Alexander McQueen's 10-inch-tall Stilletos shocked the soles off Paris Fashion Week in 2009

His fashion shows were always an eclectic mix of technology and performance art.
