In creating pieces, you can keep the following in mind:
Consider geometry. Would square shaped glass stones go well with wooden felt balls? Would the thin rice beads emphasize my bold and large cabonchons? Glass beads are great for bead embroidery and creating large intricate shapes by following patterns and using stitch techniques like peyote and right angle.

Consider Color. Experiment with palettes, try to mix and match, group beads in same color families or string together those of great contrast. Like any artist working with different mediums, one rule rings true and universal. The use of Color, manipulating tones and gradiations is essential. The kinds which sell imported stuff like Mod Podge, fusible interfacing (or Heat and Bond), stuff like that...I mainly do paper crafts lie Print Gocco and some handsewing and crocheting.

A few years back there was a crafts store at the basement level of Robinsons Galleria that sold Mod podge and crackle finishes. But I think they have closed since then. But luckily, a blogger left a post about it on Beadsnob, the Craft store called Craft World is now located at SM Megamall (building A, beside Toy Kingdom). Awesome! Time renew my crackle finishes for my decoupages :)
But there's also the art supplies store called Deovir.
